PlayStation 3 Rapid Fire Controller

If you own a PlayStation 3 video game console and love gaming, then you’ll probably want to pick up some modded PlayStation 3 rapid fire controllers for extra fun and gaming satisfaction. The standard controller that comes with the PlayStation 3 console is adequate for most games, but some titles are best enjoyed with a PlayStation 3 rapid fire controller with functions that allow you to run faster, shoot faster, fight better, or do certain tasks in interactive games which require more speed. PlayStation 3 rapid fire controllers let the user fire at maximum speed just by holding down a certain button or trigger, which can make playing many games even more exciting and helps to reduce muscle fatigue in the hands. First person shooter games such as Call of Duty, Resistance, and Battlefield are greatly enhanced by using a PlayStation 3 rapid fire controller. The programmable speed modes on many of these mods make them compatible with just about any game.

The rapid fire function allows for firing rates well above what can be accomplished by even an expert gamer with a standard controller.  For this reason, there has been some controversy within the online gaming community regarding the use of PlayStation 3 rapid fire controllers.  Some gamers consider the use of such controllers ‘cheating’ and have complained that it has ruined the game experience for anyone who wants to use a standard controller.  Game programmers for certain popular online games have also started to build in firing speed caps, so that weapons cannot fire faster than a particular rate.  For this reason, a programmable feature is really a must for a PlayStation 3 rapid fire controller, as you can set the speed to just under whatever the cap is for the game you are playing.  The result may be a little less spectacular than on an unrestricted game, but you will still be able to effortlessly fire at the fastest rate the game allows.

Many PlayStation 3 rapid fire controller mods now have multiple programmable modes which allow you to set and save particular fire rates for each of several games you might be currently playing, without having to re-set the speed every time you switch games.  Some PlayStation 3 rapid fire controllers have a special dedicated button installed which controls the mod and turns it on or off.  Other rapid fire controller mods have a sleeper mode, which allows the gamer to turn the mod off without the use of a special button.
